Ahead of the festival season, top network service providers like Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India, Idea Cellular and Reliance Jio have rolled out a number of new offers including special data packages and freebies for the existing customers as well as to attract new ones. According to an Economic Times report, the key competitors are trying their best to woo their customers in all segments, in the Dussehra and Diwali season. The telecoms are offering special data packages so that customers use more data and the average revenue of the company increases per customer. These companies are offering special offers for customers when they download infotainment apps, use payment portals and make more calls while on roaming, the report said.
While Bharti Airtel is offering 60 GB data for over 6 months to postpaid users from September itself, Vodafone India is giving away free movie tickets, food vouchers to customers using any of its nine digital platforms during Navratri in Gujarat. According to ET, the offer is open to users who download the company’s app using their mobile wallets or accesses their infotainment sites, makes an online payment, gets their e-Know Your Customer (KYC) done or even upgrades their connection to Vodafone SuperNet 4G during Navratri. Idea, on the other hand, is pushing its infotainment apps whereas Reliance Jio is offering hotspot routers known as JioFi at half the price between September 20 and 30. Along with this, Jio is also offering an extra 60 GB data for buyers of 4G LTE during Flipkart’s Big Billion Day sale.
